Costco has some pretty decent deals on safes. Looking at the Bighorn ones they carry.

Not yet, but I know that safe store in Tulsa thinks fairly well of them, plus based on the weight, they have to have as much or more steel than the comparable safes from big names in the same price range.

I think it would be to your best interest to watch the videos. That big horn probably has 12 gauge steel in the body which would make it heavy but not in the door.

^^^That would be much more difficult (if not impossible) with a safe that was upright in the tight confines of a closet, bolted to the floor. Lets see a video of that.

Just go with Armor Vault. Im about to order my 3rd, biggest one they make.
With dual layer fire rock and no external dials I have been very happy with them. 1/4" steel entire safe, rolled edges no external hinges.

I like these as well as bear. But AV only has one lock? Bear has one high and one low.

Depends on the model. The big ones have 2 locks.
