It's illegal here, but I'm pretty sure other states allow you to carry in a bar, as long as you don't drink. I'll try to find which stae(s) are that way.

Edit: Three states that allow it with a quick search are Ohio, Utah and Mississippi

Illegally? You mean like the group of "law abiding citizens" that say concealed is concealed? That kind of illegal?

no, more like the non-lawabiding citizen that hasn't jumped through the hoops to obtain the CCL and has spent some time in a correctional facitlity and doesn't care about signs, that kind of illegal

Thank you. In that case it was nice of them to put up the gunbuster sign for the out of state people visiting their bar.

It might also be that the place isn't obviously prohibited. I can think of any number of places I might call bars, but actually do more than 50% of their business in non-alcohol sales, and therefore wouldn't be prohibited. Posting the sign may be a courtesy to those who wouldn't otherwise realize it's forbidden.

That's my take as well.

Ok, I can understand how this could be. I never had any doubt that this is a neighborhood bar. I'm not even sure if they sell chips. But for someone that was just stopping in, I can see them not knowing if food is served or not. Maybe I'll ask them if they make sammiches.
