IMR-4895?
Sometimes H to IMR isn’t an equal measure replacement. How does the 4895 fair on performance and safety? When equally measured.
Don't try to guess if there are the same, find load data for the 4895 you are using, reduce 10% and work up
My rifles that I use H4895 in offer excellent accuracy in all temps.
I have tried many other powders to match the H4895 and there isn't any period.
There are many other powders that will send bullets down range but never match the H4895.
Stop looking and just work up another load with another powder.

Try Accurate 2495. It is an extruded powder - one of three extruded powders Accurate sells - and was designed as a 4895 burn-speed powder.
It's not grain for grain, I find A2495 a hair slower, but it's very close.

Might look at VV n140. It has performed great in my 6BRA.
I’ve seen H4895 in several locations. Just stock up if you’re worried. Gun shop in Paul’s valley has some as do bass pro and Cabelas. I know retail prices are getting out of hand (I think it was $68/pound), but IMO it’s worth the cost to not have to re-develop one or more loads.
H4895 seems a bit fast for 338 win. If you’re shooting light 338 bullets, then RL15.5, VV n150, RL16, H4350 all seem like reasonable powders to try. Not substitutes, but new powders that should work. If you’re shooting 200gr and up, you can shift lower down the chart and try something like VV n555, H4831sc, or RL23.

I load 250's in 338 win mag for my nephew, using H4831 and get good velocity + low ES & ED readings.
