That was his first mistake. :(

Especially with all the other places that are offering free meals that sound better than a samich!

But I took my Dad to Jason's Deli cause that's where he wanted to eat.

Thank you and your buddy and all the other veterans and active duty for serving!

What an @$$hole! We gave free six packs to our veteran patrons, sat around and told stories, looked at war time pictures and propaganda... What a good day.

While I think a strong letter campaign would be awesome, I'd hate for this doucher to lose his job...

While that guy was a jackass, as a vet myself, I just can't bring myself to ask for stuff like that. In fact, I get a little uncomfortable when free stuff is offered to me.

I would suggest your buddy get on Subway's site and contact them, the employee was way out of school on this, I would bet you they will resolve it. Too many ways to resolve these things in the world of the internet to let them go unchecked, need to take action that is appropriate.

I was going to do it and point to this thread if he doesn't.

Guy can say what he wants. You know, first amendment and all. Like it or not, one of the freedoms that veterans fought for was this guys right to say what he wants. Also, his right to not be physically assaulted for expressing that right. A thing which some of you are suggesting. So which is it, "I may not agree with what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it." or "You can say what you want as long as I approve of it." ? While the guy was disrespectful, sure, it terrifies me that some of you would physically assault someone for saying words.

The freedom of speech is about the government. You can say what you want, but that doesn't mean there won't be consequences. If you threaten the presidents life, you can say it, but there will be consequences. If I called your wife a whore, I can say it, but I bet you'll beat my ass.

Its a shame that he didnt have the respect for the veterans. I wouldn't ever think about treating anyone like that much less working a job and hes a paying customer
