Saw a shotgun the other day and I can't find any info on it.

Side by side, does NOT break over. It had some type of sliding breach on top that you move the lever to the rear to open the chamber and the move the lever fwd to close chamber.
Probably old, probably english or european.
Anyone?

What you have described is the Darne. I have owned and hunted with a few over the years. The sliding action is very smooth and can be super quick to reload. Most I have seen or used were 16 gauge, but know that 12 and 20 both exist.

Sounds like a Bruchet-Darne shotgun . German I think.

Yeah i think it was the sliding breech just not sure which one!. Way cool. That's some neat stuff I've never seen before!!
