Given the current environment, I would not pay off the auto but continue to make monthlies.. If your in need of wood or building supplies I'd wait again.. OSB prior to this chit was $7.95 at lowes it is now $25.00.. My home improvement has been put on hold.. Myself, not too keen on your choices either.. Not enough capacity in some and then that bastard very limited cartridge next.. Get'cha a 17L or a 34 and an AR in the standard .223 /5.56 maybe 7.62x39 since ammo is still available and affordable..
Good advice. As for the 17L or 34...I'm not a huge fan of the long slide Glocks nor the 9mm cartridge. Granted, the 9mm has been revamped and improved technologicaly, and can probably hold it's own and perform satisfactorily for SD, I just want a big ol' honkin' .45ACP. The cartridge God created. Plus, I already own two 9mm Glocks, I don't really need another.
Unless an FDE Glock 45 crosses my path...
As for the caliber of the AR...like the .45ACP, I just prefer a 30 caliber cartridge over a 22 caliber. I could go 7.62x39, but does it perform any better than the .300 Blackout? The only advantage I see in the 7.62x39 over the .300 Blackout is the price of the ammo. I'm not a long distance shooter. Hell this AR probably won't be fired psst 50-60 yards. Yeah, I realize that going long is where the 5.56/.223 really shines, but brother, I can't even SEE that far!
