Can anyone help me with the ID of this action. I believe its a Remington. I believe my father bought this gun a few years before he passed away from his doctor (Dr. Willie Wyatt). I'm currently trying to get ahold of the doctor, but he retired a couple of years back. It's chambered in 6PPC and the barrel was made by arguably one of the best barrel makers around (JB Dever) that happened to have lived here in the OKC area.

Definitely a bench gun. That looks to be a sleeved 700. The number on it should be the actions serial number since it's covered by the sleeve.

Yep looks to be a sleeved Remington 700 6PPC is a super accurate benchrest cartridge. Get yourself some Wilson dies if you don't already have them and enjoy
