Noodling season (not legal) coincides with the nesting season for the flatheads. They seek holes in the bank, etc.

You should go to the Okie Noodler's festival held in Paul's Valley.
It's a great time.
It's a contest for whoever brings in the biggest catfish that has been noodled.
My wife didn't much care for it though.
She told me she didn't fit in.
When I asked why not, she told me she was wearing a bra, didn't have any tattoos, and didn't have a beer in her hand.
