I enjoyed the video. Got me poking around and I confess I thought a service style would be something to entertain.

Now, not saying I’m going here but I thought this was kinda cool. Probably requires a service style belt though. But the sort of two-piece Swivel off the belt loop would allow for a better hang on the hip. Pretty low though. Interesting none-the-less.

Hosters are like guns, if you don't like them you won't use them.
Ask yourself

Where will I use it the most?
Do I want concealability?
Do I want it for fast draw?
Do I want comfort?
Do I want maximum protection for the gun?
Do I want easy on easy off of my belt or belt loops?
Do I want a fixed position on the belt or adjustable?
Do I want crossdraw?
Do I want reloads in a speedloader?

Good questions to consider. Thanks.

Like O4L I’m thinking a range or field carry function.

I thought I’d ask.

I’m considering a practical holster for a S&W Highway Patrolman (top of second picture). I’ll shoot Bret Collier (a member here who made two in the first photo) a pm as well. The last pictures are just web captures of potential styles.

But let fly if you have any recommendations for a practical field holster appropriate for the one in the picture still lacking leather. Pictures welcome!
