Sorry about the bad pics of the round as it doesn't show the indention made from trying it soo much. I was trying to show the whole round. No trigger work done as its a new gun and have tried everything from cheap stuff to dollar a round stuff and this is the only round that just won't fire. Here's a better pic, maybe.

p.s. Sorry about the tore up place on my thumb, I love the Taurus pt738-380 pocket pistol but that dude tears up my old thumb something fierce.

Hi,

It looks a little better punched from that angle. Could be a bad primer, especially if you haven't had any other issues with the gun firing stuff.

I also use CCI primers in everything I load; so far I have a 100.0000% record of every one of them going bang.

Good luck,

Alan

I had the same problem yesterday with my new little Diamondback .380...

I had 2 out of the first 6 just go click.. primer was struck in the center, but it does seem to be pretty light..

I proceeded to shoot 50 rounds of PMC FMJ rounds through the gun with zero problems, went back to the Hornady Critical Defense and had 3 more failures in the 1st mag(6rds)...

I was able to rechamber and try again with success on the second primer strike, so it appears that my gun isn't hitting the primer hard enough for these primers.

PMC's on left, notice the difference in primer strike.
