My wife and I have dealt with this on stuff through the NBA and college football. Trust me, that’s gonna have to be licensed to be legit. I’m not a lawyer either, but I’ve had more than my fair share of dealing with them on issues like this.

You are right, I have a ball cap of longhorn up-side down. I bought it at the OKC fair. About 3 months later I was asked where I got it, so I told them. The guy said that was his friend, and he got 1500 of them confiscated.
When I walked into Big Reds, the owner laughed and said well that's an illegal hat. Now I wish I would have bought more then 1 of them.

 

I have a ball cap with the horns down as well. My tailgating group received them about 5 years ago from a friend. We wear them every year to the OU/Texas game. I treasure it. lol
