Hot Peppers? Who loves them extra hot?

The Habenero are about as hot as I care to go and not that often either.

Had Carolina reaper a week and a half ago at Dave’s Hot Chicken. It was really good for a few bites, then hurt. It hurt again more went it left.

My wife’s mom was Indonesian and loved hot peppers. My wife likes them too and I learned to enjoy them as well

In the garden we usually grow some habaneros, ghost peppers, scotch bonnets, etc

When you eat them raw you take tiny little bites WITH FOOD in your mouth too

We dry them and make super hot seasonings, also use ‘em in salsa, also like to put them in homemade pickle jars for spicy pickles etc

When your body gets used to eating spicy you don’t have as much trouble on the back end lol

I don’t mind my food having a “kick”, in fact I like it but I’m not a fan of adding these ridiculously hot peppers just so I can beat my chest and shout “I’m a man!!!!” I regularly cook with Jalapeños, Serranos, Habaneros and the like but have found anything much hotter……to my taste isn’t adding any flavor but only heat and pain.

I have eaten some hot stuff but the hottest that made me almost want medical attention was
the Toe of Satan lollipop.

That hottest pepper on the above chart is a tick over 3 million SHU.
That super tasty cinnamon lollipop is 9 million SHU.

I have only had 2 of them.
Very tasty though.
If you love hot cinnamon laced with battery acid wrapped around a glowing red fireplace poker then it's for you

I like hot, I crave hot at times. I grow a variety, will have some reapers again this year. We dry them and make powder to use in a variety of dishes. Chex mix with a tiny bit of reaper powder is addictive...

I've tried the ghost and Reaper peppers...in very small amounts. I have some ground reaper spice now that I'll use very sparingly on eggs and stuff. Those are too hot to enjoy. Jalapeño and habanero are hot enough and I can still enjoy the food.

I do not like the flavor of the Habenero pepper.
For a sweet tasty pepper I really like a Fresno pepper.
Depending on how long you let the fresno go without water will determine the heat level.
At least the ones I grew were that way.
Hotter than the Habeneros I grew.

They turn red quickly unlike a Jalapeno.
