You'll get used to retirement. For the first time in a very long time, you don't have an employer telling you what to do and when to do it. A properly funded retirement is the ultimate freedom that is difficult to verbalize. I can say 5 years into mine that it's freaking AWESOME.All the numbers were good when I looked at my 401K and pension. I can live very well off the interest alone , so today was my first day of retirement. I'm not ready for this. I hate change. I've only been out of work for two months in the last 50 years.
Absolutely you do. Get on Vanguard dot com and you can invest in a ROTH IRA.I have no idea what any of this means and really wish that I did.
I don't have a 401k, but think that it's something that I need to look into. Where would I start?
