A product recall has been issued by Winchester Ammunition for S22LRT pistol ammunition.

Winchester has determined the above lots of 22 Long Rifle ammunition may contain incorrect powder charges. Ammunition with excessive powder charges may cause firearm damage, rendering the firearm inoperable and subjecting the shooter and bystanders to a risk of serious personal injury.

This is at least the 2nd time this ammo has been recalled.

I had to send a box back several years ago. But, they reimbursed me almost twice what I paid for it. It was still a hassle because it was at a time when .22LR ammo was really hard to find. During the Obama years, I think.
