My insurance agent emailed me re earthquake insurance.

How many of you have such insurance and where, exactly, do you live?

I live in Tulsa.

I guess that's a sep type, like flood? I tell you, it's not something I thought to look into... but I'd be seriously P.O.'d if my home got destroyed by an earthquake and they told me it wasn't covered.... grrr.

What company are you with, if you don't mind?

Well, unless you specifically bought it, that's what they're gonna tell you.

And, if you do buy it, make sure you understand just how much coverage you have and what your deductible is.

Gonna prolly call my Shelter agent tomorrow... I doubt it's a big risk, especially around here, but that just means the premium hike will be minimal. I can afford it, I think.

You know what they say... you can never be overinsured. :D

had a customer that had a water leak from hot water heater. Her insurance denied her claim because she didn't have coverage, but she was covered for an earthquake. Wish I had an agent like that.
