You can always make some cartridges with no powder and switch out the outlaws ammo while they sleep.

With all that fire power is the name of this town Northfield, Minnesota or Coffeyville Kansas? And if you believe the movies about the towns lying down and taking it quietly you need to read Tough Towns by Robert Barr Smith. There were some really tough honest citizens living in that time period. There is one story of a teenager with a shotgun shooting at Jesse and Frank James, while they were trying to make good their escape several days after the Northfield robbery. The kid was alone when he saw them and decided they were part of the holdup gang. Jesse and Frank fled not knowing how many people were getting ready to get in their shot at them.
