I have tonsillitis...again. (gross story but no photos)

The tonsills are both normal but the opposite lymph node is giving me trouble. I go see the ENT on Tuesday. They called yesterday morning several hours before I was awake enough to be answering calls and apparently I turned down an appointment for first thing this morning. So now I wait 7 days haha.
I am not a morning person....

Oh GAWD! ME neither!! Any thing that needs to happen needs to happen AFTER 10 a.m.

The ENT thinks acid reflux and/or related causes constant irritation to the back of my tonsils, and they occasionally go haywire.
Haven't had any throat issues since the series of events in this thread.

I had my tonsils removed when I was 10 years old. I have to argue with doctors when they look down my throat because the damn thing grew back!

It will keep happening until you remove them, the frequency just varies from person to person. My sister had strep 3x a year from 5yo-15yo when she finally had them removed. She's 44yo now and hasn't had it one time since.

Same with me, had em taken out at age 15

Mine swole up 2-3 times as youth. Twice got shots and went away. Never had as adult. But I got every bit as sick as you described. GOOD LUCK!!!
