How useful is this if you only have one pistol going to the range? I like the idea, but I'd prefer a well-organized backpack like this one that doesn't have so much space dedicated to transporting a number of handguns.

That is nice, thanks for sharing. Are the hanggun dividers removeable? That would be a huge plus to an already good looking bag.

Makes people like me, that show up at the range with cardboard boxes, Walmart sacks, thrift store luggage and raggedy Pelican cases with duct tape latches, look bad.
The concept here is "preventive maintenance." As in, taking as few firearms as possible that need to be cleaned
When I go to the range, I usually take one pistol and one or two rifles.
