I won’t join any of those mentioned either. I did sign up for Facebook years ago as the idea is good, being able to see grandkids and such but I stopped because I got sick and tired of seeing my step-son’s idiot wife posting pictures of her lunch. It’s a great platform if you’re a completely self absorbed ******.

we do seem to have a larger number of members in recent months, that seem to spend a lot of time on those sites that we all used to condemn.

I see all these links to Twitter or X and I assume the ones posting these links are members to the sight with a log-in.

I can click and watch but the video buffers horribly and i can't see comments section.

And is it just me or do others not have any desire to join those platforms.

I am not joined on Youtube or X or Facebook or any social media video posting forum.

Here and some hunt fish forums and some car forums that is all.

I see people all the time on their cell phone watching funny short videos one after another just a few seconds long.
They are entertained with that for a LONG time.

Am I missing something here?

My kids enrolled me on fartbook. I was mad because I had no desire. Then I tried Fartbook marketplace.
I mistyped my DOB and really pissed them off. I was bamminated for life by a bot. SCREW THEM!

Twatter, Instagram, and all the rest can suck eggs. Like you I watch the links and videos but never responded or even filled out a profile page. I'm putting up with the new youtube ads that slam you right in the middle of a good video and always click "skip" because if you don't they keep stacking commercials. I used to be ad free watching Youtube but that went south as they won't let you use an ad blocker.

I was banned from Twitter for life because after Jim Acosta repeatedly rudely interrupted and President Trump’s News Secretary during a news briefing, I wrote that he needed to be dragged out on the Whitehouse lawn and thrashed like a dog. I was accused of wishing harm on another person. Actually, I wanted Acosta to receive a beating as an educational experience. Back then, it was common to see all kinds of posts on Twitter wishing harm on a person; but there was a virtual ubiquity of posts wishing imprisonment and death on President Trump Twitter without any censorship or repercus…..

I'm a member of most of the social media platforms, but not an active member of any but Oklahoma Shooters and Oklahoma Hunter.
I got them so the videos and links could be seen that are posted on these platforms. When I click on the link, they say my account has been blocked and can't read the file, but they always show up.
They are all locked down very tightly. I've had several say they can get into anyone's account, but none have been successful so far.
YouTube junky as well. I've learned how to tie flys, repair stuff, and so on.

Funny I have a Facebook and Twitter accounts and have no problem or drama with either. Hell I see more drama on here arguing over best caliber or that the AR is not popular because the Legos for adults.

I do enjoy some videos but being an adult I only watch a few. Saw one the other day that was part of an Adams Family TV show. Anyone remember Gomez and Mortica's wedding?
