We always has pork and beans as a side with hamburger night. That was every Friday usually, dad grilled 1/3 pound patties that mom had pressed out with her homade BBQ sauce on top.
When I was a kid, Mom would cut up hot dogs and cook them in a can or two of pork and beans. She called it “beanie weenies,” and served it with corn bread.
I can’t say she ever served any eggs on it, though.
