I don't feel like typing one out, but I will say this; as far as ingredients, get the best andouillie you can find, like Heber's in Tulsa. I like to cook the sausage first, then cook the veggies in the sausage fat, then add flour and cook the bejeepers out of it.

If you are REAL nice to me I can make some. I am from Louisiana - can do chicken and deer sausage :-)

Its REALLY easy to make actually - the only tricky part is getting the roux perfect.

This is going to sound weird, but the best gumbo I've ever had wasn't in the south, but Las Vegas... in the Hilton... at the Quark's Bar restaurant inside the Star Trek Experience.

Never made it, personally, but I was looking at recipes just yesterday.

That place was awesome! It's not there anymore, or any of the Star Trek stuff. The Hilton is pretty lame now.

I'm not a Trekkie (my dad is), I don't hate the show either, but I loved the Experience. We saw both shows and they were awesome, especially the one with the live actors. They did a really good job. I heard they moved the Experience somewhere downtown. I've been twice since they moved it, but never tried tracking down its new location.

The Borg Sphere drinks were tasty and did the trick with 5 oz of liquor in each glass. The dry ice made for an awesome looking drink, too.
