The last time I was involved in setting T-post I used one of these. Granted, it was 1/4 x 1/4 section.

Thats me. If it can't be pushed in with the front loader, it's not going in at all. I have 600 lbs of tractor wheel weights that I hang on the bucket to give it a little extra "push".
