The biggest problem with concealing a firearm is the grip, not so much the length of the barrel. You could do as a friend of mine did with his while I was still an LEO. He loved the size of the 19, just not the barrel length, so he sent a 17 in to Robar and had the grip cut down to the size of a 19, that way he had the best of both worlds.

Personally, I find the shorter grip to be more detrimental to fast gun handling than the shorter barrel. I prefer a short barrel, full grip to the other way around. Longer grips are harder to conceal though.

crazyfish cut down a kahr to have the smaller grip and longer sight radius. pics of it look right. maybe that is a solution with a glock 17., too bad the market of cheap glocks is gone.
