The biggest problem with concealing a firearm is the grip, not so much the length of the barrel. You could do as a friend of mine did with his while I was still an LEO. He loved the size of the 19, just not the barrel length, so he sent a 17 in to Robar and had the grip cut down to the size of a 19, that way he had the best of both worlds.
Personally, I find the shorter grip to be more detrimental to fast gun handling than the shorter barrel. I prefer a short barrel, full grip to the other way around. Longer grips are harder to conceal though.
crazyfish cut down a kahr to have the smaller grip and longer sight radius. pics of it look right. maybe that is a solution with a glock 17., too bad the market of cheap glocks is gone.

G19,I carry mine everwhere..
I would say G17 if you can effectively conceal it. Glock 19 if you can't conceal the 17.
Glock 17 for sure, its what all the cops carry so that says something!
I would vote for a G19. Which is weird because I carry a G23
G19 wins.
I would say a G17 as well, but like others before me stated I am also a big guy and I can hide this well.
