If you like dark, bluesy sounding bluegrass...

...give this album a listen. "Famous for Killing Each Other" by Kevin Costner (yup, you read that correctly) and The Modern West.

I know he ain't the most popular actor amongst us, but I surely seem to like this album. Lot's of long instrumentals on dobros and other bluegrassy instruments, but it's not the typical "Twang along with Bubba" bluegrass.

And he ain't a bad singer either.

I heard Costner & his band were going to be at one of the casinos around here.

They were at Durant back in August. Wished I'da known about it, but then again, since I didn't even know he had a band I probably wouldn't have gone.
