Isn't it amazing how the U.S. will allow millions of illegal (yes, dare I use the word illegal) aliens from Mexico stay, but will turn back every half-assed raft full of Haitians or other carribean folks? I know it is tempting to blame the Dems. for this amnesty program, but the (Rep.) CEOs in this country are kicking back and licking their chops over the new, cheaper laborers that will soon be replacing American workers. I work for a large corp. and am going to learn spanish in preparation for the transition. Buenos Noches.

Unfortunately I suspect you are right. I was thinking a little bit ago that the Repubs could take the dream act and rearrange the sections, leaving the exact same wording of each section, call it something else and introduce it in Congress and I'd lay money down that not a single dim would vote for it.
As for what Obumnuts has done, it was pure politics. The only thing he cares about is the votes they will give him. He has after all declared political war on the employers of all the illegals and everyone else for that matter. So does he really "care" about these folks? Not one whit. This has also pretty much blown the hell out of everything Marco Rubio was working on. Don't think politics isn't the motive for a second, he could care less about them except for the votes they bring.
I lived in Florida during Castro's Mariel boatlift. Heard a lot of the same comments then that I hear now, better life...blah, blah, blah. The reality is the Miami area never recovered from the change. It became the murder capitol of the world and the Orange Bowl area and the high-dollar U. of Miami now sit in a battle zone, like Beruit. The "Miami" Dolphins now play 45 mins. north of Miami because of the high crime. I agree that LEGAL immigrants should have every opportunity they earn, and many do. But I still think blanket amnesty is nothing more than extra potential votes for the Dems. and cheap labor replacements for the CEOs. IMHO.
I think we should get rid of the income tax and just have a sales tax. This would take care of the illegals not paying taxes argument. Also on the rich people being "evil" have you ever seen a poor person create jobs? No. Also, if you were an illegal immigrant, what would entice you to wanna become a natural born citizen? So you could pay taxes? So you could not collect food stamps because your income would be recorded? So you could be eligible for jury duty? Oh lets not forget the bs of trying to become a citizen and all the headache that would be. Yea, real enticing to become a citizen. Oh and I guess the fact that Obama circumvented congress isn't a big deal either.
I knew of person in OKC who was an illegal alien. When I met them they had lived in OKC for 16 years. While looking into this for a High School history project we found his name on the voter registration rolls. This was in 1964. When we reported it, no one listened. They claimed we were kids and what did we know. He had come up from Mexico. So I sure that is still going on.
I've got news for yous: the offspring of Illegal Mexicans don't have any better "work ethic" than any other ethnic group in this country. Particularly their offspring. If they were born here and raised here, they'll typically have the same mindset as all of the rest of those lazy teenagers you guys like to line up and ***** about.
