Yea, it’s quite a set of sad letters. The letter to the wife was kinda explicit about he took one to the brain and no suffering, but did lay on the battle ground several days before he was recovered. The book Great Britain published was very special and kindness expounds in it for the sacrifice the American men gave to help them.

I need to find a copy of that book now..

I count at least five on ebay right now, averaging about $25 per copy.

Contact the local commanders of the VFW and the American Legion to ask their advice.
There are several programs out there collecting veterans memories of their service to memorialize as well as some collecting memorabilia for display.
Do an internet search for the same services.

IDK, Fort Sill has a great museum and I’d think they would love to honor the man by adding to their WWII wing.
