You should give those you do not shoot to a home where they will be enjoyed.
I have done exactly that:
I gifted a .22 rifle to each of my friends three sons,,,
I gifted two Henry .22 rifles to another friend for him and his kids to shoot,,,
I gifted a .22 rifle and revolver to a friends son and a 9mm LC9 (with a .22 adapter) to his daughter.
I have a Crickett rifle and accessories sitting in a nice case,,,
Waiting for a friends 6-year old daughter to turn 8-years old,,,
Her Mom is very adamant that she not start until her 8th Birthday.
I've bequeathed my CZ-75B (9mm) and my CZ-75B Kadet (.22 LR),,,
To the man who hired me at OSU, giving me a retirement,,,
I haven't yet decided if I'll make him wait until I croak,,,
Or just surprise him at the range this summer.
That still leaves me with a lot of fiery-arms to deal with,,,
A couple of other .22 rifles might be gifted away,,,
But most will get peddled off.
What guns I do decide to keep and shoot,,,
Will be left to my best friend upon my inevitable demise.
