You should give those you do not shoot to a home where they will be enjoyed. :P :P :P

I have done exactly that:

I gifted a .22 rifle to each of my friends three sons,,,
I gifted two Henry .22 rifles to another friend for him and his kids to shoot,,,
I gifted a .22 rifle and revolver to a friends son and a 9mm LC9 (with a .22 adapter) to his daughter.

I have a Crickett rifle and accessories sitting in a nice case,,,
Waiting for a friends 6-year old daughter to turn 8-years old,,,
Her Mom is very adamant that she not start until her 8th Birthday.

I've bequeathed my CZ-75B (9mm) and my CZ-75B Kadet (.22 LR),,,
To the man who hired me at OSU, giving me a retirement,,,
I haven't yet decided if I'll make him wait until I croak,,,
Or just surprise him at the range this summer.

That still leaves me with a lot of fiery-arms to deal with,,,
A couple of other .22 rifles might be gifted away,,,
But most will get peddled off.

What guns I do decide to keep and shoot,,,
Will be left to my best friend upon my inevitable demise.

So, in the gifting and selling of my fiery-arm collection,,,
A new dilemma has cropped up for me.

If I gift my CZ-75B to my former boss and long-time friend,,,
That leaves me with only one 9mm pistol in my safe,,,
My Ruger EC9s will ne my only 9mm handgun.

The EC9s is my everyday carry gun,,,
My CZ-75B was never a carry pistol for me,,,
It was a delightful range toy for when I tired of shooting .22 LR.

Can I survive with only one 9mm pistol,,,
One that really isn't suitable for target shooting?

So out of sheer boredom I went to Budsgunshop.com,,,
And did a search for 9mm handguns,,,
Nothing caught my attention,,,
Except for one Kel Tec.

Their P-15 in polymer frame.

I wouldn't even consider this except for the fact that,,,
I own 2 Kel Tec P17's and absolutely love them.

My OCD would not let me buy just one of them,,,
Not when I already have 2 of the P17's.

Fortunately for me the price of two isn't prohibitive.

So now I'm chuckling at myself,,,
Several pages of a thread about paring down the collection,,,
And I'm already planning on what pistol or pistols to replace them with.

I am hopelessly doomed my friends,,,

A day after submitting post # 23 in this thread,,,
I got out of bed and banged my head against the wall.

Absolutely the LAST thing I need to do,,,
Is buy another (or a pair) of pistols.

I decided that when the urge to shoot something with a bit more whang than my rimfires,,,
I should just unlimber one of my many S&W revolvers instead of a semi-auto,,,
I have everything from .22 LR to .44 Magnum so there's no shortage.

But it was fun doing the walk through on budsgunshop.com,,,
Now I need to talk one of my friends into buying one of those Kel Tec P15's.

No sense in me buying one out of my pocket,,,
When I might be able to talk a friend into doing it for me. :rubhands:

I have no shame.
