Note to self...
1) change out wife's CCW .380 HP for FMJ
2) get her another .380 magazine
3) move shotgun closer to bed so I don't need a pistol to get to it.

Seriously, we've always heard stories about how ineffective handguns are at "stopping" threats. This puts some serious data behind those stories. As a hunter I'm quite familiar with how even a small deer can travel quite a distance without a heart or lungs, and how that can can be correlated to a BG continuing to move several yards towards you. It's exemplifies quite well the need to keep firing until the threat stops, usually by interrupting the nervous system.

Kinda puts a dent in the argument of FMJ overpenetration for pistols. Wish they had shown the same amount of data for pistol calibers as they did for the rifle calibers.

Thanks for posting. It kinda blows a hole in the "only use hollow points in a pistol" theory at least for me. Add going through a jacket, or jeans and then tough skin which equals 3-4 inches of muscle, it seems you could get expansion before too much damage might be done. It all seems to go back to shot placement doesn't it.
