Am I the only one, or does anyybody else get chills/cringe when they see well done photographs of nice guns (or any firearms for that matter) that are placed on concrete, bricks, grating or anything else that appears to have the finish resting on something abrasive? I know, I know, guns are tools, but I know what I pay for mine and would hate to see any of them damaged, even superficially. Scars from trees or field use/hunting I can understand, but that's a little different. Anybody else?

It depends. Sometimes.

I like the gun pron pics but I just hope when they pick them up and set them down on those surfaces that they do it with care. Those are not my guns so I enjoy the pron for what it is.

I think it comes with different degrees of severity. I wouldn't lay a nickel plated no dash 27 the same place I would lay an M&P. Same thing goes for an pristine CDL vs where the AR goes. I am still careful where I lay the M&P or the AR. Character marks on guns are awesome as long as they are came by honestly. I hate to see a beat up gun because some jackwagon treats his Gold Cup the same way he does 9/16" wrench. However I do not own a safe queen. They all get shot. I do cringe when I see a nice gun laying on a wood pile or in the gravel, but I am sure it is all for effect. They are placed there with care. My opinion. YMMV.

I'm with you on that, but something that bugs me even more in a pic is seeing someones toes.
