Like Doctors in the Military. The Government pays for their school but they have to serve I think it's 6 years to repay their debt.
So the government pays for 8 years of med school and future military commitment is 6 years; very decent exchange rate!

What does a doctor make in the military? I bet it's a lot less than in the private sector, especially for specialists. Hours are generally better, yes, but the military is getting a good deal in paying up to $120k in student loan debt, the doctor is giving up probably at MINIMUM a half-mil in salary over those 6 years. And in all likelihood double that for many of them.

"Joe Biden says that US has an 'obligation' to provide free medical care for illegals"

Imagine that, Creepy Joe is wrong again!....It says “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” Not "Give me your overly sensitive, entitled masses whining for free ****!"

Here is officer pay class for military branches. Depends on rank and years in service. Don't forget that officers will get a stipend for housing which with 2 kids in Lawton for example was $1400 a month in 2015 when I last lived there. That same Parent with 2 kids will get about $500 for food costs and you have free medical for your family. If you make it 20 year to retirement you will have 50% salary the rest of your life and you and your spouse will have medical the rest of your life. Also each time your service obligation is up there can be some pretty good bonus money to stay in.

I had a good Friend that was an O6 ER Nurse with 18 years. Thats $10,075.51 per month plus another almost 2k for housing and food and no medical costs. That ain't a bad living boys.

A doctor in the USAF will be promoted earlier over line officers (that is those officers on flying status) up to Lt
Col or Col and they received at the time I was in Continuation pay every three years or so $20-30,000 for staying in the military. Actually, I knew one that came in because he couldn't make it on the outside-come to find out he had a couple of malpractice suits against him. Think about it, no malpractice insurance, no office help to pay, books to maintain, office rent or payments, thirty days plus off per year vacation and if you put your name tag on the wrong side of their shirt I corrected them. Plus, I got so good at forging some of their signatures they couldn't tell their signature from the forged ones. Often I had to argue with them and prove I did the forgery by pulling out my pen.

There's also this little thing about doctors and other healthcare personnel in the military who might just occasionally be called upon to serve in a combat zone; where they are subject to a level of danger not generally experienced by their counterparts who are working in decent conditions at hospitals and clinics in the USA. I don't begrudge them one bit; I salute them for their unselfish actions.

(PS: I agree that Joe Biden is a loser, and I hope and pray that he, and others of his kind, do not get elected to "serve" our country).

I could be wrong, but isn't forgery against the law?

The military is a subculture and often things are "requisitioned" from one unit and used in another. This is a time-honored tradition and as far as forgery? I received the Good Conduct Medal for not getting caught as many have over the decades. Besides, I never used the borrowing of one's signature for personal gain and we always laughed together when I shown them how easy it was...
