Not always so. The teamsters are well known for violence against other truckers.
In the 70’s, I was driving a semi for Rocket Freight lines. We were non-union.
I was on I-35 during the strike. The only truck on the road, when a station wagon pulled up to me, waving to pull over. Guy in the back seat had a shotgun in his lap, so I pulled over. Passenger came back to me and asked if I knew there was a truckers strike ongoing. I did but played dumb. No CB, and cell phones didn’t exist. Told him I’d park it right there if he would call my dispatch for a ride. Gave him the number and sat there until the boss showed up.
Told him I wasn’t going to drive it back, so we traded vehicles and he drove it back.
I was wrong
Those *******s they killed Kenny

To bad there’s nothing we can do about it
If when the first company to move their operations overseas or Mexico, the president (or the government) would have told them , “whatever amount you are saving by moving your company out of America will become the amount of tariff you will pay to bring your product back into the US to sell”, we would not be losing our jobs to overseas companies. If we had taken the profits out of their moving out, there would not have been any incentive to go. Reducing government regulations and restrictions that increase cost of doing business would have had the same result.

Great idea however I think it has to do more along the lines of politicians getting some sort of financial kickback.

Here’s the BOD. 3 may have agricultural experience or background. There are more democrat donors than those with a possible ag industry background.
