I’ve read and listened to more than one patriotic fellow discuss the move from a labor valuing system that creates a strong nation to a “money trumps all” system.

The result of profit being the only consideration is a weaker nation, and harder times for those who labor.

Since a great deal of folks are only interested in “maximizing profitability” we get Wal-Mart, and a flood of imported goods, which gets us to where we are today- less manufacturing, more service jobs. If that’s good for the country I sure am glad.

Gov out of control spending, printing more money, inflation thru the roof, Gov regs ridiculously out of control. Inflated wages demanded by employees to cover cost, union jumps on wagon fills their pockets, company management does the same and guess what, American tax payer gets screwed! We just don’t learn but soon will realize what we’ve done… It’s coming to a theater near you very soon!!

I think most of the Mexicans have made their move some time ago. It's now people from all over the world.

Having been on negotiations with the Teamsters Union, I have a negative view of unions in general. Very little give and a lot of take. The threat of strike is very real. Many union members are much like many MAGA members. They will blindly follow their leaders with little rational thinking.

What’s crazy is one guy was saying this 100 years ago, the other 30 years ago.

Both warned of the consequences to the nation, and the “foot in the door” for communism to step in.

A nation whose leaders- elected or otherwise- doesn’t care for the well- being of its citizens is courting its own demise.

I agree that ceo pay is stupid in many cases.

But unions can be feel like extortion orgs to me. Seems like today, the market should be the driver of pay and benefits.

Unions took the playbook from the mafia, they just don’t commit the crimes
