OK, I am just finishing this book up and wanted to recommend it to folks who enjoy this type of 'read'. It incorporates so many aspects of what 'seems' to be going on these days. Yep, 'Fiction', but still thought provoking ....

"People started calling it the Hell Times after some pundit was spouting about it on TV. I mean, The Great Depression was taken and they didn't have the Plague or the Freeze thrown on top. I know, it wasn't a plague and all you nitnoids are going to point out that it was some ****ing flu virus and plague is bacterial infection and . . . Yeah. I know. Thank you. We ALL ****ing know, all right? Christ, there are times you wished it had been targeted at nitnoids. Everybody calls it the Plague, okay? Get over yourself."

This story has it's origins in a rap by Lorne "Paw Diddy" Greene.

"The gun went flying from my hand
And I was looking down the bore
of the deadly .44 of Ringo"

Is this the same Ringo that lay facedown in the desert sand, clutching a six-gun in his hand?

Nope, this is one of my favorite SciFi authors.. I have read everything he has put out to my knowledge.. Good stuff. My son thinks he is a little too gritty for his taste, but I have read nothing by him that I didn't like. Blitzfike
