Congrats to him, of course. Winning the Heisman as a freshman comes with a ton of pressure; he still has a few years of college ball ahead of him and the expectations will he high.

Wow. Guy wins the Heisman because A&M beat Alabama. Oh well.

No, he won because he broke a bunch of SEC records including those held by two previous Heisman winners. He won because he led a middle of the road Big 12 team to a 10-2 record in what was supposed to be a 6-6 season according to all the pundits. He won because he did all this in a defensive minded conference.

And he did it with a lower passer rating than Klein, in a conference not used to the spread. Klein’s team was supposed to finish 6th in the Big XII (finished 1st), he accounted for 69% of KSU’s yardage and 66% of their offensive TDs, and was the Big XII offensive player of the year. Klein’s downfall was the debacle at Baylor, and the fact that he played at KSU.

And what was that arrest over the summer?
