Sorry to hear of your loss. As far as the Subaru, maintain as any other vehicle like normal until about 80k-90k then sell it. We researched these pretty hard a couple years ago. Large mechanical issues start going wrong in the 100k-120k mile range it appears. Can't tell you how many of those we found in the 100k-150k mile range that either had a new engine and/or transmission or was sitting broke down that needed a new engine and/or transmission. Unless the 25' is a completely new mechanical platform, those findings were pretty consistent with the 2015 to 2021 models.

Subaru has always intrigued me. They seem to market to only granola eaters, but the vehicle might appeal to a lot bigger audience. They seem to forgoe a lot of the buttons and electronic gimmicks, and I like that.

They always get good safety marks. And you see them with really high miles. Owners usually review positively. But many do seem to have had some major issues over their life as noted above. If I have to put a motor or transmission in something to get 200k miles, I'm not going to be impressed with it.
