Actually that's not what this phase of the story is about....the Justice Department has merely taken the position that Holder's and the President's refusal to turn over certain documents to Congress does not constitute a crime. And they've taken that position before when roles were reversed.

This is more like someone stomping their feet and making a fuss but asking someone else to do the dirty work...the House has their own authority and power to arrest Holder. If they wanted to, they could.

I know you are correct, but I'm not aware of another instance where people died. In this case it's been pretty much proven that the violence they fertilized has caused the deaths of hundreds. The sad fact is that in an election year, there is no way in hell Congress will arrest and try the AG. We can only hope that something happens after the election.

True enough, but the particular issue that the House asked DOJ to act on is/was in regards to a Contempt of Congress charge...not any charge directly related to specific crimes like the death of Agent Terry. The House has demanded documents, the Executive Branch has claimed privilege....so expecting an office within the Executive Branch to act against that claim is a waste of time.

The fact remains that if the House was serious about bringing Holder in...they don't need the DOJ to do it. Man I wish they would.

Even if the SOA was directed to arrest Holder, he could resign, Obama would then do what Ford did and issue a presidential pardon.

I think its all political grandstanding. There will be no justice for the dead.
