From the latest GOA Alert. Click on the link at the bottom to urge your U.S. Representative to sign Reps. Stockman & Broun letter requesting that Speaker Boehner KILL ALL GUN CONTROL legislation....It's easy to do. Pass it on to others

So what can gun owners do? We can create a groundswell of support for what Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) is doing in the House.

Rep. Stockman has just told GOA that he and Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) will be circulating a letter asking the House leadership to refuse to bring up anti-gun legislation that is NOT supported by a majority of the Republican members of the House of Representatives.

Stockman’s effort could potentially kill ALL GUN CONTROL in the House.

We know, we know. We believe that gun control should die if only one constitutionalist-representative opposes it -- or even if none do. But, as a practical matter, if 117 congressmen sign a letter demanding that Boehner not bring up a gun control bill opposed by those 117 congressmen, gun control will die. Without that letter, Democrats will join with anti-gun Republicans, and gun control will pass.

ACTION: Click here to contact your Representative and urge him or her to cosign the Stockman-Broun letter. Please note that there are two different action responses for you to send, and the system will automatically send that response, depending upon whether your congressman is a Republican or Democrat.send an e-mail to your U.S. Representative to urge them to support this effort to see that gun control never gets

Did this earlier today when I got the email...and then passed it along. Here's what the letter said that went to my Rep. Lucas...

Congressmen Steve Stockman and Paul Broun are circulating a letter for signature by House members -- a letter that is addressed to House Speaker John Boehner.

I would ask that you sign the Stockman-Broun letter which asks that "no gun legislation be brought to the floor of the House unless it has the support of a majority of our caucus."

By doing so, you would oppose Obama's national gun registry proposals, Senator Patrick Leahy's anti-gun legislation (S. 54), and all other gun bans or magazine limitations by Dianne Feinstein.

Again, please cosign the Stockman-Broun letter asking the House leadership not to bring up anti-gun legislation that is not supported by a majority of the Republican caucus.

Sincerely,

Just called up Rep. Cole's office and the aide did not know if he had signed onto the Stockman-Broun letter.

With the senate looking like they are close to a "compromise", we really need to double up our efforts in the HOR.

I am really tired of this crap but we can't get discouraged and stop contacting our Reps. The other side is counting on it.
