Lyme Disease

Anyone had lyme disease? Did it take you out?

I ve been feeling down for about a week with fever and ended up in the hospital a few days ago with a possible stroke. Everything was numb, slurred speech. Face went weird. Movement was slow. After a few hours I started to talk better and feel better, ended up walking out on my own. Dr's did ct scan and bloodwork, xray of chest, ekg. In the end said nothing was wrong with me.

Been 2 days and I still feel sick and tired. No fever but crazy night sweats. I had a tick on me that swelled up on the 4th of October. So I went to have some more test done and awaiting results

@Blackdog , did you have a bullseye rash around the bite? I had a textbook bulllseye rash. The doc at the after care place was English. In her finest hurried accent, she said to the nurse ‘get my camera, I want a picture of this in my log’. They loaded me up with tetracycline or doxycycline and I laid on the couch for a few days. Just getting up to use the bathroom would make my leg muscles burn.
Sounds like you need some more test. Be a bear about until they listen and run all the necessary tests. Let us know how it goes.

I am on doxy now, just in case. Hope blood work comes back soon. Pics of the bite on my hip back on oct 4th and 6th after if swelled up

Yeah, I got the Bullseye. Loaded up on doxycycline. Never had any symptoms, but I caught it very early, at the 3-4 day stage.
