I found a Kimber 45 acp for a friend and that had an issue with chambering ammo all the way in.
Thin wall cases did fine sort of.
I took a loaded case and colored the entire case and bullet with a black sharpie and inserted it into the chamber.
I got witness marks where the chamber was binding on the case.
Just so happens the chamber was dented in slightly!!!
Not surprising as above that tight spot was where Kimber stamped 45 ACP into the barrel.
Yes stamped and dented the chamber.
I think it was 45 ACP stamped there.
I honed and polished it out and it feeds excellent now.
That ranks up there with Ruger and their junk I have had.
I sure do not like Ruger. But many have them and love them.
3 For me and all were not accurate.
Even a new in the box 10-22 so many people praise.
Not accurate and not reliable.
A model 60 will run circles around that Ruger.
But people love those also.
