What does everyone think about relaxing the knife restrictions for CCW holders?

With the proliferation of spring assisted knives on the market, I think CCW holders in good standing, should be able to carry spring assisted or auto opening knives. After all, we can carry multiple guns of various calibers. But, we can't carry an assisted opening or automatic knife.

Thoughts anyone?

Since when did assisted opening knifes become illegal in OK?

Otherwise I agree. Oklahoma knife laws are ridiculous, CCW or not.

Since 21-1272 went into effect...how long ago I don't know, but many moons.

This has been discussed at length in another thread. My understanding is that 21-1272 does NOT apply to assisted open knives such as the Kershaw Onion because they cannot be opened by simply pressing a button in the handle.

I'm all for allowing the carrying of auto knifes. Doesn't make any sense that I can carry a 45 auto, but not an automatic knife.

USAF issued a knife to me as aircrew.... push button opening. Blaze orange but push button.
