Why? Not only can women not shoot Mosins, they also can't shoot at night. Tsk.

You have NO IDEA just how true this is ... ;) I can't see my hand in front of my face at night ... I'll probably be the only person there who has NO HITS on the night fire stages ... :(

(And next time I see you I'm gonna beat you to death with a Mosin-Nagant, you stinker! ;) )

I think I want to give this a try. Can I hang out with you??

ETA: I can't find a place to sign up either. Do you have to go to the store?? They are real close to RickN and a really big Hobby Lobby ... we could make a "road trip" ... :fallangel:popcorn:

I'll shoot and hang out with you anytime :)

Here's the info about the next one:
Heartland Zombie Shoot Oct 28th LINK

I shot my M&P 15-22 with a red dot. My only misses came on stage 4 (the stage I started on) attempting to hit the post-it note as it retreated. It went from about 3 yards away to about 10 yards. My red dot was zeroed for 25 yards and I didn't exactly know my point of imapact at those close ranges. I couldn't see how low I was hitting until the next target array so I could adjust my POA.

BTW the post-it represented the soring zone (brain) on the zombie target. It was faster to replace a post-it than tape holes, pretty good idea I thought.

Here's a video of one of the AR's on a dark stage. Too dark to really see the targets, but the fireball was impressive. This stage started from a seated position with empty gun (bolt or slide forward) and magazine on the table. At start gotta load the gun in the dark, remain seated to engage first target array, then move to next shooting position and engage last array. Loading in the dark is the delay from the start buzzer until shooting begins.

what time did you guys get finished with that many shooters?

We finished and had the stages tore down and range clean by about 10:15 to 10:30pm, then had the awards. It did take a while to get all the shooters through, there were lots of new shooters to a match format and lots of questions, which is a good thing. Always good to get new shooters into a match of any kind.

Wasn't that bad for that many shooters and a 2 bay indoor range.
