Two ways of looking at edges, one is the super polished edge that will slide hrough material, the other is a 220 grit edge that is grippy. I carry more than one knife. One bigger GED is a large trapper that I leave 200 and a smaller old Boker than goes to 2000 grit. 2000 grit you cant feel resistance when slicing envelopes open The 200 I skinned a deer yesterday.
