I went over the 4th of july weekend and couldn't seem to catch anything on a fly rod. Do you mind telling me what you where using in the muddy water?

What day did you fish? I got in 2 hours sunday before they ran the water and managed 15, one was a keeper sand bass.

I ususally am in a White Suzuki sidekick and will be the only guy wearing a camo hat that has WV on it. If you see me Introduce yourself. I also wear full waders regardless of the temperature.

I went Saturday morning and Monday morning early. Saturday I fished around Marval Family resort (where we were camping over the weekend) and Monday I went up closer to the dam.

Just wanted to add that the water is still just as dirty as it was in June when they finally quit running it around the clock. Who knows how long it will be till it clears up. Still caught fish but not as many as other trips.

Just an update since my last visit, water is still very dirty. Looked worse than a month ago.

I did okay, my buddy had his best day on the fly rod, around 20 for him. He doesn't have the patience to fly fish but spinning gear wasn't working for him and I was catching so he broke out his fly rod.

This is what the water still looks like, I think it is worse than a month ago. Water temp was still in the good range for trout.
