Woke up this morning around 0530 to the sound of someone banging on my front door. It was OCPD out and about in my hood. I guess we had two kids getting into cars this morning and they were trying to locate the owners of the stolen items they had found on the suspects. They got into my wife's car and took an empty purse and a can of OC spray from my wife's console. They hit about 20 to 25 cars in the neighborhood.

I had the same thing happen in my neighbor hood this past summer. Someone got in my unlocked taco rummaged around, but found nothing of value. Same night there was a home invasion a few houses down, the lady was beaten and her truck was drove through the garage door. I've been harping on the gf and kids to make sure everything is locked every night.

Common occurrence in my neighborhood - and even if you do lock your car doors at night, the scum will break or pry open a window and rummage through it for anything of value to sell just to feed their meth/coke/heroin/alcohol/cigarette/marijuana addiction for one more day. Thank goodness I can park my cars inside the garage and off their radar. There are also bands of them driving the neighborhood looking for open garage doors - only takes them 30-45 seconds to run in and swipe whatever they can from cars inside the garage, where the homeowners think they're safe and therefore never lock them. Has happened to many of my neighbors. So keep your garage doors shut, too!

That also happened to me, some douche stole my gas can from my garage. Pissed me off because it was the last "pre-california" can I ever found. I guess I should be happy no mags or ammo or tools were stolen. I really need to figure out how to get the gf and kids to lock and shut doors.

Man , that's where I live. At least they caught the kids. There was some shady looking guys ( honestly they looked like straight meth heads ) driving around here last week in a 95 Lincoln town car knocking on everyone's door seeing if they needed tree service. There spiele didn't seem like they were interested at all in doing any tree service. On top of that they seemed to spend a lot of extra time in front of the homes with there garage doors open. When I moved here 8 years ago that was one of the things I love is that there was hardly any crime or riff raff around here. Keep an eye out if those guy come knocking on your door. There tag number is 625ELN.
