Accurate rifle good steady position and know how to adjust your AO scope and need to know how to read wind.
All this can be learned by getting out and shooting and use 22 LR or .223 or 30-06 is does not matter.
The same things need to happen.

This page pretty much tells you what needs to happen.

I see they are talking 200 yards is long range for the 22 rim fire.

Have you got out and shot 200 yards with yours?

I go out and shoot in high winds (30MPH) often and my friends wonder why i would do that.
So I know where my bullets will drift to. I set up to get the full cross wind effect.

I never know which way the deer or hog will come from and I need to know what my bullet will do in all situations.

Lots of ammo gets shot but you will be educated quickly when shooting in windy conditions.

Last year, I contacted Chase Stroud (one of the current ELR leaders) and spent two days in Brenham, TX with him working on my .22LR ELR skills. It was time well spent even if I ended up meeting David Lott at DI Precision and buying another Vudoo. I will probably get with him again this year.

A member PM'd me this,,,

"Check out Recon by Fire in Rose OK. I took a class there this summer. Bud is a great teacher."

I googled them and it might just be what I'm looking for,,,
I'm a member of a range with 500 yard targets,,,
What I was looking for was training classes.

Thanks for this lead,,,
