Sams/Wal-Mart sell a similar product from Augason Farms.

Cabella's has their Augason Farms, Mountain House and store brand 'emergency' food on sale through 09/19. Some at 40% discount. I don't know how that compares to the big box stores but it does seem reasonable at 75 cents a serving or a buck fifty per person per meal.
