I have a 15" Evo on another AR, and it's very nice. Just a bit too long for my purposes though, and the other lengths are a bit too short.

I have the Nordic NC-1 on my rifle, and I love it! I don't find it to be too big. It is about 1/4" less in width that the Magpul I had on it.

I have one on my NC-22. I wear medium sized gloves. My thumb and social finger will go completely around it. How small do you need?

Shoddy, if you mean me, I figured out with the help of those who commented in this thread that you really can't have a tubular HG smaller than about 2" outer diameter without any provisions for the gas tube and the top of the gas block on an AR-15. Hence the top rail, or raised portion on some ALG offerings, on HG's with an outer diameter smaller than 2".
