I'm looking to those who might be able to shed some light.

I've recently had built a 40x60 shop on my property (far SE OKC, permitted) and now I'd really love to switch from an extension cord to power in the shop. I've had a couple of quotes and they're all over and much higher than what I'd expected. One company out of Moore and one from the Edmond area. Any current recommendations out there?

What I think I need:
Meter box (and related install)
Mount 200A indoor panel that I have
Per code, run outdoor light next to door
Run wire for lights (Romex in place, mixed response if that's OK - in rafters of 12' ceiling)
- My wife thinks I went overboard. I won't argue. I have a lot of lights, but they're linkable LEDs from HF
Run a drop for garage door
Run 1-2 circuits for workbench power.
Permit would need to be pulled
Power pedestal within 80'

The rest I plan on doing later on. I've been surprised by the estimates that I have gotten. And maybe those are spot on.

Romex wire is outrageous. Has been for several years.

While the 120v receptacles have to be wired with 12 AWG (and, of course, 240v with larger depending on the circuit amps), it is NEC legal to wire all your lighting circuits (from the switch to the fixture, and fixture to fixture) with 14 AWG. 14 gauge is cheaper than 12 gauge.

That was with me providing the romex and interior panel.

I need to have the meter and panel hooked up and a permit pulled. I figured I'd have whomever do a few runs to make it worth their time then I had planned on doing the rest of my drops.
