Loudest Gun/Cartridge?

Ported 357, and every sbr with a brake. I only have one firearm with a brake now. I hate loud noises. Prefer subsonic and suppressed now.

I had an 8 3/8 inch model 17 S&W. The crack from that thing was uncomfortable as heck even with plugs and muffs. My 4 inch and even snub nosed 22’s aren’t as bad as it was.
It may not have been the loudest but it wasn’t any fun.

30-.378 Weatherby for me. It would blow the dust loose from the roof over the shooting benches at Banner Rd shooting range. I sold it.

Early 18” Marlin ported guide gun in 450 Marlin. When that goes off people stop and stare a bit!

I had two thoughts today as my AR-10 was causing pieces of spray insulation to fall from the benchrest awning.

1. I should really start my suppressor paperwork.

2. I wonder what everyone else's loudest guns are.

Loudest I’ve had was a Winchester model 70 308 with the boss system. Loudest I have now, 11.5” AR15 SBR with a griffin hammer comp suppressor mount.

Been eyeing that huxworx 7.62 oss for mine.

Been looking at a Dead Air Sandman to use on my AR-10 and my 300 win mag eventually. Lately I've just been spending on ammo and reloading supplies while they're available.

I think the loudest I've experienced was .50 AE out of a Desert Eagle pistol at an indoor range.
