Went to a gun show near Albany, NY today, and brought home M1 Garand #2

This rifle is in much better condition than Garand #1, and has a substantially lower serial than my other one. It is also in working order, with throat erosion and barrel both in spec. It even came with the correct bayonet.

What is ammo running for them these days from the CMP?

any idea when it was made?

It was made in Oct 1941

Got my confirmation today from CMP. It is sure going to be hard to wait the 60-90. Does anyone have any regular Garand matches?

Well like most things that come into the house she will probably take it,shoot it and then declare it to be hers. Oh well she told me to print the order forms for another one after this one arrives. Im sure she will "handpick" the better of the two.....lol. I love having her shoot with me though.
